“It means the world to me to receive the Honda Sport Award and to also just be surrounded by some of the best and most inspirational athletes in the country,” Skinner said. “I am grateful for the people that have surrounded me and the connections that I have made throughout this journey. I also want to extend a special thank you to the University of Texas and all my coaches, teammates and support staff that have given me so many opportunities and have helped mold me into the person and player that I am today.”
2023 AVCA First Team All-American (Third team in 2022)...led team to second straight National Championship title and was a part of three titles overall...named 2023 Final Four Most Outstanding Player...finished with 16 kills, two aces and one block in the title match...2024 Big 12 Player of the Year...2024 AVCA Southwest Region Player of the Year...two-time AVCA All-Southwest Region...two-time First Team All-Big 12...three-time Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week (twice this season)...finished the season ranked fifth in the nation in points per set (5.54) and sixth nationally in kills per set (4.80)...led the team with 46 service aces and fourth on the team with 223 digs...health and society major.
